Oct. 28th, 2008 08:02 pmThe time has come to dig out the grandparent's cookbooks and remember all those hippy ways. The household income is about to drop by about a third.
My goal for the next few weeks is to bring the weekly grocery cost down to $60 or less so that we can focus on reducing a few debts to the lowest levels possible.
All will be well though. I know that my parents got by on much less, though I do wish it was May, not Octobr because a garden would help a lot.
I've started a price book, using this form. I printed them out four to a page and I'm filling them in with the lowest prices sighted, to help me know when to pass up or stock up on the things I normally buy.
